Melissa Long
A film school dropout, Melissa transitioned into the world of politics and became a fervent advocate for education reform. As a grant writer, she raised over $100M for national charities like Teach For America. Never losing her passion for storytelling, Melissa earned her MFA in Writing Popular Fiction and published multiple romance and urban fantasy novels.
Melissa's strength is her ability to craft diverse and inclusive character-driven narratives within magical worlds. Unafraid of delving into steamy love triangles, her writing is a captivating dance of romantic tension and chemistry on the page.
Melissa is an alumnus of the WGF - Writers Access Staff Support Training Program. She has worked in multiple support roles, most recently as Script Coordinator for KING SHAKA (CBS/Showtime). Melissa is eager to staff and help craft entertaining and socially relevant stories.
