Neeti Joshi
Neeti is a graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, with a Film & Television degree. Her background also includes digital advertising, sales, business of entertainment/media/technology, and web programming. She typically writes through the lens of dark, absurdist humor, and with transgressive female characters. She focuses on characters who may be flawed, in pain, or damaged in some way, which causes them to make questionable decisions. Being a first-generation immigrant and a queer South Asian girl had resulted in a lot of introspection for her. This bottling of emotion often found its outlet through her writing. Most of her feelings translated into scripts, so she could express and process those feelings through a fictional realm. Through her storytelling, she’s aiming to learn more about herself and the universe, as well as continue to cultivate genuine connection.
