Manny Valdivia
Manny Valdivia is a film and television writer. A native Angeleno, Manny was born and raised in Boyle Heights. He graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a B.A. in English and continued his education at the UCLA Writing Program with a degree in Film Writing. He’s enjoyed and learned from many opportunities as an assistant, having most notably worked on productions like In Treatment, Glee, The Good Wife, NCIS: Los Angeles, among others. Recently, his pilot was a finalist in the ATX Television Festival “The Pitch” competition. Manny has participated in the 48 hour film competition 8 years in a row, winning Best Film twice, as well as Best Writing, and made it all the way to the Cannes Film Festival. He’s also a proud graduate of the Writers’ Access Support Staff Training Program and just completed work as a Writers’ Assistant in his first writers’ room.
