Alley Turner
Alley Turner is a Black and Trinidadian writer from Newark, NJ. She has undergraduate and graduate degrees in public health from Johns Hopkins University. But after ten years of working at health departments and the CDC, she realized her love of screenwriting and moved to LA.
Alley enjoys writing light and dark comedy about outsiders trying to find their place in the world. She is a recent alumnus of the Writers’ Access Support Staff Training Program and has written and produced two short films. She has worked as a production assistant on feature films and at music festivals in Atlanta and NYC. She is currently a substitute teacher but plans to quit as soon as she gets on a show (don’t tell the children).
