Aaron Ruttenberg

Aaron Ruttenberg is a TV comedy/drama writer born and raised as an only child in the San Francisco Bay, an upbringing that still informs his passion for art and fear of sea lions. He writes stories with relatable comedy and humanist drama, inspired by early reruns of The Simpsons and Barbara Streisand films (thanks, mom).

After attending film school at Cal State Los Angeles, he was a floater at Legendary Entertainment and now works as a copywriter.

Aaron has contributed to the Letterboxd.com Journal, won Best Short Documentary at a local Los Angeles film festival for his short, Bound, about shibari rope artists, and was a quarterfinalist for the SceenCraft Comedy Screenwriting Competition. His interests outside of writing include tarot card readings for friends, becoming a certified scuba diver, and continuing his bar trivia team’s winning streak.
