Flint-raised and LA-based, Wilandrea Blair is an AFI Conservatory graduate who focuses on writing stories about complex women of color navigating diverse worlds with humor, heart and a hint of badassery.
In addition, Wilandrea has earned several distinctions including:
- 2024 HollyShorts Best TV Pilot Screenplay winner
- Placed Top 50 in the Academy Nicholl Fellowship
- Winner of the inaugural Women Write Now Fellowship by Kevin Hart’s LOL Studios and the Sundance Institute
- Selected for The Writers Lab
- Awarded a development deal with NBCUniversal.
A Creative Director in advertising with a background in broadcast news, she has a love for the creatively concise and an appreciation of all things awkward - especially because her middle school sex education teacher was her father. In short, she has a lot of stories to tell.
