Rachel Yang
Rachel Yang is a dramedy writer who studied journalism at Northwestern University. She has bylines in Entertainment Weekly, Variety, Reductress, and more. Her voice was shaped by being a weird only child and moving from China to Southern Upstate New York (a very boring oxymoron) as a kid. She often writes about mother-daughter dynamics, small-town life, and Asian American misfits grappling with identity amid larger-than-life situations. Most recently, she was the Showrunner/EP's Assistant on TRACKER (Season 1). In her spare time, she organizes a writers' group for women of color and enjoys learning languages and going to pub trivia (justice for Willem Dafriend!).
