Joey Lattarulo
Joey Lattarulo is a writer and filmmaker from a haunted house in Oceanside, CA. He believes that fictional worlds provide a subconscious space for processing emotions and building empathy, so he writes character-driven dramas through that lens. After obtaining his degree in Neuroscience and living in New York City, he edged his way to Los Angeles as a project manager for psychiatrists. Determined and idealistic, he jumped into freelance work as a production assistant. He now works as a substitute teacher.
Recognized in the top 1% of applicants, he was accepted into The Writers Guild Foundation - Writers’ Access Program. In his writing and directing, he integrates his science background, chaotic life experiences, and passion for world-building. Joey doesn’t run from tragic endings but searches for optimism in pursuit of understanding the crazy shit we categorize as the human condition.
