Archana Shinde

Indian born and raised, Archana is a graduate of Writers’ Access Support Staff Training Program ’23 and UCLA’s Professional Program in Screenwriting. Her feature and TV scripts have placed in Final Draft Big Break Competition, Austin Film Festival, and CineStory Feature and TV Contest. Her latest short, EARBUDS premiered at Tasveer - the world’s only Oscar-qualifying South Asian film festival. Her previous short, GREEN BANGLES represented India in the ‘Women in Film & TV (WIFT)’ International showcase in 44 cities of 15 countries. In 2018, Archana executive-produced and edited award-winning feature film WAKE.

Archana’s stories examine how South Asian and American societies, even though they seem worlds apart, heavily depend on conventions and propriety to rigidly define genders.

She lives in LA with her filmmaker husband and works in promo marketing for CBS and Paramount+.
