Addison Blu

Addison Blu is an L.A.-based writer and military veteran from Atlanta. Addison worked as a private investigator before joining the elite Army Special Operations and deploying to combat in Afghanistan to conduct Psychological Operations. After service, he worked as a marketing strategist, which is like PSYOPs for corporate America. He was recently the Military Consultant for the Hulu series Paradise from Dan Fogelman, and Writers’ PA on the FOX series Memory of a Killer. Addison writes half-hour and hour TV, always grounded in character and humor.

I have been mentoring aspiring television writers for more than 20 years. I can count on the fingers of one hand the times I have encountered a truly extraordinary talent. When I read the work of Addison Blu it was one of those rare occasions. Addison has combined a brilliant talent for writing with extraordinary life experiences that he had while serving our military overseas. His writing is fresh, original, funny, moving, and profound. Addison would be an incredible asset to any television writing staff. I do not imagine he will be on the market for very long because the savvy will snatch him up very soon.

He is funny, thoughtful, a student of storytelling and a delight to be in a room with. He would be an incredible addition to any writers room.
