The Writers Guild Foundation’s Talent Portal is a private online platform that showcases ready-to-hire alumni from our career development initiatives – the Writers’ Access Support Staff Training Program and Veterans Fellowship.

Whether you’re seeking support staff, hiring a staff writer, browsing for clients, or simply interested in learning about our talented program graduates, our team is here to help.

To get started, select a program below and click “View Profiles”. If prompted, enter the password: SUPPORT.

You will then gain access to alumni profiles for either program. Browse the list of hireable alumni, filter by preferred genre, and click on any graduate’s name to view their bio, resume, and writing sample.

    Writers’ Access Support Staff Training Program

    Graduates of the Writers’ Access Support Staff Training Program are uniquely equipped to take on the role of a Writers’ Assistant or Script Coordinator. Our rigorous 12-week course is designed to provide students with hands-on experience in a writers’ room so they are ready to hit the ground running.

    Veterans Fellowship

    The Veterans Fellowship is an 8-week professional development program for U.S. military veterans on the cusp of breaking in as TV writers. Each fellow is paired with a showrunner-mentor, who provides them with valuable feedback on their scripts and unique insight into the business of writing for the screen.

    Alumni graduate the program with multiple polished samples, a refined self-pitch, hands-on experience in simulated writers’ rooms, a nuanced understanding of support roles and writers’ room etiquette, and more,
