Volunteer and Mentorship Program

We pair WGAW members with like-minded organizations who work with young people from underserved communities on literacy, writing and filmmaking. The commitment ranges from one-time speaking engagements to longer term mentorship programs. Organizations we currently work with include the Get Lit826LA, the Los Angeles Unified School District, and more.

If you are a WGAW member interested in volunteering your time and expertise with WGF, complete the form linked below.

The experiences I have had volunteering for the Foundation have enriched me personally and professionally. Contact with other writers and especially aspiring writers always refreshes my outlook and introduces me to talented, but still forming, storytellers who are in need of an inspirational boost.
