TV Writers: The First Years of Your Career

Every TV writer has his or her own story about how they broke into the industry and moved up the writers room ladder. On this special event, we’re partnering with the University of Chicago Arts Alumni Network to hear from writers about their first few years writing for television. They’ll share how they found representation and management, how they landed their first staff gig, and how they got that first script.

Panelists:

  • Polina Diaz (FULLER HOUSE)

  • Britta Lundin (RIVERDALE)

  • Kay Oyegun (THIS IS US, QUEEN SUGAR)

  • Robert Padnick (MAN SEEKING WOMAN, THE OFFICE)

Moderated by Ceda Xiong, Project Manager for Stage 13, a digital arm of Warner Bros.

Doors open at 7:30pm. Event starts at 8pm.

All events advertised on our “Events” page are open to anyone who wants to buy a ticket – not just WGA members!

Proceeds benefit the Foundation’s library and archive and other outreach programs.
