Happy 2018, everyone! As with all new years, we are setting goals for new scripts and more pages written. To help kick start a productive year, we’re hosting our first Write-A-Thon of the year!
Expect the usual snacks, pizza, and more importantly, uninterrupted writing time with your fellow scribes and all the scripts you can access in our Library. Plus, we’ll also have a raffle with cool prizes.
If you’ve never been to one of our Write-A-Thons, it’s an evening when we keep the Library open after-hours. Whether you’re a night owl, a member of a writing group that meets on evenings, or just feel motivated when surrounded by other writers, we welcome anyone who wants to come work and write.
We’ll also welcome special guest speaker, Karen Kirkland, Nickelodeon’s Vice President, Talent Development and Outreach, where she’s spent over 12 years developing and staffing writing talent onto Nickelodeon network productions, and overseeing the Nickelodeon Writing Program. Karen will give an overview of writing for Nickelodeon, the program application process, and answer your questions from 6pm to 6:30pm.
Space is limited, so reserve your spots ASAP!
In the case the event is sold out, we will have a first come, first serve stand-by line at the event. The stand-by line does not guarantee entry into the event.
Proceeds benefit the Foundation’s library and archive and other outreach programs.
