Narratives have begun to play a more critical role in the development of video games after the massive successes of story-driven series such as BIOSHOCK, PORTAL, THE LAST OF US and ASSASSIN’S CREED. Enter the video game script writer and the lucrative field of writing for the gaming industry.

But how does one become a video game writer? What are the challenges of writing for video games? What techniques are used to integrate story and gameplay? Our panel of acclaimed video game writers aims to answer these questions and more.

Neil Druckmann, the WGA Award-winning writer and creative director of THE LAST OF US and UNCHARTED 4: A THIEF’S END.

Panelists:

Tom Bissell, the journalist and author who has co-written scripts for GEARS OF WAR: JUDGMENT, BATTLEFIELD: HARDLINE, THE VANISHING OF ETHAN CARTER and UNCHARTED 4: A THIEF’S END.

TJ Fixman, the writer of Insomniac Games’ RATCHET & CLANK series and the RESISTANCE: FALL OF MAN series.

Marianne Krawczyk, the BAFTA-award winning writer of Sony’s highly acclaimed GOD OF WAR series as well as STAR TREK, SHANK and SHANK 2.
