Genre Smash! with Godzilla Writer Max Borenstein

Max Borenstein’s first feature was SWORD SWALLOWERS AND THIN MEN, an indie he made while he was a senior at Yale.

His second feature was GODZILLA, which in two weeks achieved a domestic gross of over $150 million and is credited with rebooting the franchise. Not bad for a sophomore effort.

Join us as we chat with Max at the NerdMelt Showroom. We’ll talk about writing great scripts on a budget, carrying the weight of a 60-year-old franchise, the fantastic world of giant monsters and created by Toho Studios, and who would win in a fight between Godzilla and Brian Cranston. (SPOILER ALERT: Guys, it’s totally Cranston. Godzilla might have radioactive breath, but Cranston has OXYGEN ACTION.)
