Written by Martin McDonagh
This is the first scene with dialogue from Banshees of Inisherin. In it, Padraic tries to figure out with his sister why Colm, his best friend, has suddenly stopped talking to him (which is a humorous, petty situation for a man to be in).
McDonagh has a repetitive dialogue style where characters will repeat the same thing back to each other, sometimes failing to grasp the point the other is making. First of all, this is funny (which makes it a pleasure to read). Second, it has great rhythm to it. Third, it pulls your eye right down the page.
