Written by Robert Eggers & Max Eggers

  • Much like in the script for Alien, each new image or action is written on a new line, which helps so much to create a flow when reading.

  • The use of CAPITALIZATION makes things feel more URGENT as they start to get STRANGER AND INTENSIFY DOWN THE PAGE.

  • Also, the use of italics in asking questions about the action, i.e. “Is he…?” is a great way to invite reader speculation about what’s happening, but it’s also playable by an actor.
