We are free and open to the public. Photo I.D. (driver’s license, student card, passport) or WGA membership card is required in order to read scripts and access material on-site.
We are not a lending library. Scripts and other materials, including digital scripts, may not be emailed, scanned, borrowed, photographed or photocopied. Everything must be read on-site due to copyright restrictions. For more info on why, see our blog post here.
Eating is not permitted in the library, but water is allowed. There is a secure locker room provided for briefcases, backpacks, and other large bags. You are allowed to bring in a laptop and/or pen and paper to work. Please remember to silence your cell phone.
We wrote a blog post about how to get the most out of your library visit - read it here!
Extended Saturday hours and parking are thanks to the generous support of the
LA County Arts Commission.
Contact The Library
Have a question? We have answers.
You can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or use this form. Please describe your question using specifics such as titles, writers and dates. In your request, please include your affiliation and if you are a WGA member, staff, researcher, student or general user. If you are affiliated with a university and want to bring in students for a library tour, please get in touch.
To see what scripts we have, search our catalog by title or writer. If we don’t have something you want to read, let us know and we can ask for it. Although we have a large collection of digital film and TV scripts, these must be read at the library – we cannot provide access to these online due to copyright restrictions.
If you have questions related to WGA script registrations past and present, we can’t help but the Registration department website is here.
Requests are answered in the order received and may take 24 hours or longer for a response. Staff members may not have time to undertake extensive research but are happy to provide information about the library’s holdings and suggest helpful resources. You can always call us at (323)782-4544.
